1. The Internal Revenue Service is implementing a new computer system, allowing the agency to collect an extra seven billion tax dollars and eliminate 40 thousand jobs.

2. It's bad news all around for both taxpayers and many government employees. The IRS will soon begin using a new computer system that will allow the agency to collect an extra 7 billion tax dollars, as well as eliminate about 40,000 jobs.

3. When Mrs. Smith decided to get ahead on laundry Monday night, she never knew it might be so expensive. The pair of her husband's pants she washed actually contained the winning 4 million dollar lottery ticket from Super Lotto's drawing.

4. David Smith's hopes of being a millionaire have disintegrated--literally. Smith bought the winning Super Lotto 4 million dollar ticket on Monday only to have it disintegrate in the washing machine that evening, disqualifying him from collecting any winnings.

5. Following this weekend's demonstrations calling for the resignation of Boston's Cardinal Bernard Law, U.S. Roman Catholic Cardinals will be traveling to the Vatican to address increasing sex abuse accusations involving priests.

6. Reports of sexual abuse of teens and children by Catholic priests have skyrocketed in recent months. Pope Benedict XVI has summoned U.S. Roman Catholic Cardinals to the Vatican to address the situation.
