Interview with Andrew Ritter

Andrew Ritter is a junior on the Ole Miss football team. He has been the starting kicker for the kick-offs since his freshman year. The theme of the interview is how he personally and the team as a whole are preparing for the upcoming games. The interview took place September 20 in the Sigma Chi house. It was done there because he is a Sigma Chi and he could be the most comfortable there. Andrew's best quote was, "Everytime you get into SEC play its very exciting. Playing the best competition in the country week in and week it out its definitely challenging but very exciting too." This quote captures the them of the story. The entire interview with Andrew Ritter is below:

Q: What is your preparation throughout the week going into a game day?

A: "I think preparation starts early in the week. You can't mess around all week and not get your practice in, and show up on on game day and expect it all come to come together. Its definitely a whole week process."

Q: What are some of your pre game preparations?

A: "I get a good nights sleep. I get a good shower to wake me up. I have a good meal. Then there is not a lot of talking and everyone is just get ready for the task at hand."

Q: What is it like to have have some big SEC games at home coming up on the schedule?

A: "Its definitely very exciting. Everytime you get into SEC play its very exciting. Playing the best competition in the country week in and week it out its definitely challenging but very exciting too."

Q: Would you say this week against Georgia is a bigger game than most?

A: "Yeah, I think this game is huge. We haven't had the start we wanted and hoped for. With Georgia coming in, there is going to be a big crowd and I think if we can get this win we'll have some momentum to roll over throughout the season. I really think this game could have a big impact on out season. I know were excited for it."
